La función poética
aparece en la letra del himno de los clubes y en las canciones, algunas de las
cuales se hizo popular, como es el caso de la italiana Rita Pavone con su “La
partita di ballone”
¡ Por qué, por qué…
los domingos por el
fútbol me abandonas
no te importa que me
quede en casa sola.
No te importa
por qué, por qué…
no me llevas al
partido alguna vez!
¡ Quizás, quizás…
tú me mientes al
decir que vas al fútbol
es seguro que lo
empleas como excusa
es seguro
quizás, quizás…
yo me entero alguna
vez de la verdad!.....

for football, you abandon me
you do
not care if I stay alone at home.

lie me, to say that you go to football
it is
sure that you utilize it as excuse
it is
sure
perhaps,
perhaps…
I
realize the truth sometime!
