23) ¿LA IMAGINACIÓN Y LA FANTASÍA INTERVIENE EN EL FÚTBOL? / 23) DO THE FANTASY AND THE IMAGINATION INTERVENE IN FOOTBALL?

  23) Do the fantasy and the imagination intervene in football?

Poetising is just the game. It means the poet (the footballer) is a (player) poet because he does not leave the game, we are not saying that he is telling us his fantasies (to win or to lose), but what he is telling us is how he plays with words (the ball).

Albert Einstein said, the Imagination is necessary for thinking, planning, working and carrying out a project in the reality.

Karl Marx spoke about " the concrete of thinking” to be able to convert a social project into the reality both a material and accurately way.

Another thing is the fantasy. There is a fundamental difference between the game and the fantasy; we do not need the reality for fantasizing when we fantasize we are a isolated being who invents a new reality which does not exist and nothing has to do with the reality. For example when a child plays he always takes elements of the reality (for example a broom could be a horse), and when the poet plays he always plays with the reality, so the child’s play as well as the poet’s play are the transformation of a known reality.

We rescue the phrase: "Football is football," which is heard from Vujadin Boskov, it makes us believe that in the football history intervenes and plays notions and concepts of thinking through scientific and poetic phrases. (To be continued…)

22) DE FÚTBOL Y CINE, ¿HAY BUENAS PELÍCULAS QUE TENGAN EL FÚTBOL COMO TEMA CENTRAL EN SUS GUIONES?/ 22) ABOUT FOOTBALL AND CINEMA, ARE THERE ANY GOOD MOVIES WHICH HAVE FOOTBALL AS A CENTRAL PLOT IN THEIR SCRIPTS?

22) About football and cinema, are there any good movies which have football as a central plot in their scripts?

According the filmmakers there are no good movies about football. There are good boxing movies, but football in the world of cinema, it is hard to find any good work done. It has been said that the passion and excitement which exists in a live football game is difficult to ¨capture¨ in a film.

Jean Cocteau, writer, actor and French novelist, included football among their false gods: the others were machines and New York.

I remember "Evasion or Victory" which is not exactly one of the best films by John Houston.

Quentin Tarantino has promised to make a film about football, but the problem appears to be that good actors are bad players and good players are bad actors.

Alfredo Di Stefano has participated as an actor in some films but talking to Don Alfredo, he told us that football and movies do not combine well.

One version that Berlanga considered as the ending of the film "Welcome Mister Marshall" was a football match between the locals, Villar del Río against Villar Camp’s neighbours. He finally discarded it. (To be continued…)

21) ALGUNAS PERSONAS PIENSAN QUE EL FÚTBOL ES UN TEMA INTERESANTE PARA ESCRIBIR UNA NOVELA, FILMAR UNA PELÍCULA O PINTAR UN CUADRO. ¿DE FÚTBOL Y LITERATURA NOS PUEDE CONTAR ALGUNA ANÉCDOTA?/ 21) SOME PEOPLE THINK FOOTBALL IS AN INTERESTING TOPIC FOR WRITING NOVELS, MAKING MOVIES OR PAINTING PICTURES. CAN YOU TELL US A STORY ABOUT FOOTBALL AND LITERATURE?

21) Some people think football is an interesting topic for writing novels, making movies or painting pictures. Can you tell us a story about football and literature?

Pierre de Coubertin, founder of the modern Olympic Games thought the greatness of sport and art should walk closely linked.

For example Albert Camus who was a footballer among other things, said: “I owe to football everything I know about morality and duties of men" and in his book “The Fall” he wrote: "Sunday games in a crowded stadium and theatres are places that I loved with unmatched passion, the only places in the world where I feel innocent.”

Others had a crude opinion about football, for example Pierre Desproges, the famous French comedian who said "Yes, you can laugh at everything, but not with any one" he wrote: What sport can be uglier, cruder and less funny than football? What harmony, what elegance could be found by the most basic aesthetician in the awkward trots of twenty furry disabled men kicking a ball?

Jean Paul Sartre used the example of a football team to illustrate his theory about groups in his book "Critique of Dialectical Reason¨.(To be continued…)

20) EN TODOS LOS CAMPEONATOS OBSERVAMOS UNA DANZA DE FRASES ENTRE LOS EQUIPOS CANDIDATOS AL TÍTULO, EN ESPAÑA ES EL CASO DEL REAL MADRID Y EL BARCELONA. ¿ÉSTA RIVALIDAD COMO SE PUEDE PENSAR? / 20) IN ALL CHAMPIONSHIPS WE OBSERVE A DANCE OF PHRASES AMONG THE CANDIDATE’S TEAMS FOR THE TITLE; IN SPAIN WE HAVE THE EXAMPLE OF REAL MADRID AND BARCELONA. WHAT CAN WE THINK ABOUT THIS RIVALRY?

20) In all championships we observe a dance of phrases among the candidate’s teams for the title; in Spain we have the example of Real Madrid and Barcelona. What can we think about this rivalry?

It is interesting to be inside the big clubs to see how they think, teams as Real Madrid and Barcelona "The Narcissism of small differences", where love is presented as rancour , and what we more admired about the other (subconsciously) is shown as a critique. The affects are manifested in “a mirror" talking about oneself through the rival. Fans and managers sometimes criticize things of the other team, what they would like to be or have in theirs.

This rivalry can be multiplied in so-called "derby" between teams from the same city: among other famous clashes we have Barcelona-Español, Sevilla-Betis, Real Madrid-At.Madrid, it happens as well in National Team Level where small differences generate hostility among neighbours, so for example we like more to defeat a neighbour country than another team from another continent which give us a plus of satisfaction. Spain-France, Germany- England, Brazil- Argentina are examples. (To be continued…)
